The clinical expertise of our compassionate subacute rehabilitation staff helps patients to transition from hospital to home and accelerates their recovery, while our beautiful, expansive campus acts as a warm and comfortable home to our long-term care residents. Skilled clinical services are provided 24/7 by an outstanding team of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, and other support professionals to maintain the optimal health and wellness for each and every one of our residents.
Our subacute unit features physiatry-led and directed rehabilitation programming, designed to reduce hospital readmissions and restore optimal physical function to those recovering from surgery or illness. In order to provide the most seamless transition between hospital and home, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are delivered 7 days a week to accelerate the recovery process of our patients. A wide array of stimulating and engaging activities is offered to residents on a daily basis, alongside a menu of tasty and nutritious meal options. Our dedicated team members develop connections with each resident and their family members, forging stable and comforting relationships that enhance the experience of the resident and the quality of their care.

When I came here I couldn’t get myself washed and dressed and I was only able to walk 20 feet with the help of a therapist. I am going home with the support of my wife, and I am now able to care for myself and can walk longer distances with a walker. I really appreciate what everyone has done to help prepare me to go home: the PT/OT/ST, nursing and aides. I would like to acknowledge Dr. Terry – he is a wonderful doctor – very respectful and shows insight. I would also like to acknowledge Jackie and Lester in therapy – they were really great with me too! I would recommend Lawrence to any and all!
I was admitted to Lawrence Rehab for hereditary and idiopathic neuropathy, along with depression. I came from Princeton Medical Center as an Urgent SNF patient. When I got to Lawrence, I was pleased by how bright the lights were and how clean it was. The people who take care of me, like the aides and nurses, are really nice and happy. I even told my brother Sean that I feel comfortable here, and thrilled with the level of care I am receiving. I’ve made friends with other people who live here, and that makes me happy too. Soon, I’ll be moving to long-term care. I also joined in on some activities here, which I enjoy. Overall, I’m happy and comfortable at Lawrence Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
I had such a heartwarming stay Lawrence Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. The staff was incredibly positive. I could feel the genuine care and excellence in their work, especially Zainab. If I ever needed to return, Lawrence Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center would be my first choice! It was such a welcoming environment with compassionate people surrounding me.
